What could Lowell do with $1.4 million?
Despite revenues increasing in the state, Michigan was the only state in the nation where state funding for communities decreased in the last decade. In Lowell, that meant nearly $1.4 million in funds from state government was diverted from the city.Michigan Municipal League officials will be in Lowell on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, to discuss the state's broken system for funding our communities. We also will discuss ways to fix the system and encourage attendees to share their thoughts and questions.
